Star Wars Books: Collectors' and Price Guides
A good guide book is essential for the proper identification of items in your collection or that you would like to buy. With many items being made by different manufacturers, or having variations among runs of items made by the same maker, you need a good roadmap for what you have and want. This page has a number of Star Wars reference books that you'll find handy.
Keep in mind that the best use of these books is for IDENTIFICATION, not for pricing! Even though prices are listed, the nature of the publishing business is such that the prices are out of date even when the book is printed. "Book" value can serve as an indication of which pieces are more or less valuable, but don't get too hung up on the absolute numbers. An item, after all, is only worth what someone will actually pay you for it!

From its birth in 1977 through today, new generations of fans have jumped on the bandwagon of one of the most spectacular, entertaining, involving, evolving stories ever told. The themes are universal, while the presentation is one of a kind. It's an irresistible combination.
Not only did George Lucas give us some great movies and great memories, but the Star Wars stuff producers kept pace, and continue to turn out fabulous new Star Wars items every year. I'm kind of a collectibles nut - I love stuff, but I don't actually own much of it - who loves to see new ideas, new products, new gadgets and gizmos that related to a much-loved theme. So that's what this blog is about. The world of Star Wars, and its stuff.
